PHILOSOPHY AND DYNAMICS

PHILOSOPHY
The main philosophy of teaching English is to build a bridge between academics and workplace. To be more precise it mainly inculcates love of reading among one and all. It develops a deep understanding of language and literature, the value of analyzing and evaluating knowledge content, introspect, research, effective writing and understand the richness of literature past and present. It will enhance the learning experience of our students who will be the unequivocal beneficiaries of the most life-long and significant transferable job skill that supports the achievement of their life goals, as confident and competent communicators in English in higher academic study of the workplace.
NATURE OF THE LANGUAGE
The core emphasis of teaching English is to develop the four skills of language i.e. reading, listening, writing and speaking.
1. The main aim of teaching reading is to seek meaning in a specific content using a variety of strategies much as prior knowledge, inferring predictions and confirming.
2. In writing the learners learn to write different kinds of factual, imaginative facts for a wide range of purpose.
3. In listening the learners are able to listen for information and enjoyment and respond appropriately and critically in a wide range of situations.
4. In speaking the learners are able to communicate confidently and effectively in spoken language in a wide range of situations.
DYNAMICS OF LANGUAGE
The learning of the four skills will enable the learners to critically analyze any situation and help them to introspect and will be able to inculcate values which will make them better human beings. The learning of the four skills is possible if the teacher understand the classroom dynamics. It is extremely possible for the teachers to make the learning of the second language successfull if the appropriate planning and activities are established. Proper methodologies of teaching and pedagogical processes makes the learners enjoy learning and that is what we do in our language classes.
